Greyhound of the Year Awards 2013 move to the Hilton in Manchester

The sport’s annual awards ceremony is moving to a new home at the Hilton, Manchester Deansgate on Sunday 26th January, 2014. The GBGB Greyhound of the Year Awards ceremony has been held in central London since January 2009 and the move to Manchester comes after feedback received in previous years expressed a desire to rotate the location. The national ceremony recognises the achievements of greyhounds and their trainers, owners and kennel staff throughout 2013.

James McCreadie, GBGB press officer said:

“The annual black-tie gala evening has become the premier event of the year which celebrates the sport’s stars both on and off the track. The Hilton Manchester Deansgate, situated a short walk from the city centre is an ideal venue with luxurious amenities and great views over the city aided by floor to ceiling windows throughout. It’s going to be another top class night so I’d encourage anyone planning on being part of it to book early, we’ve had to put the sold out sign up in December for the last two years!”

Awards tickets cost £70 per person and include a champagne reception, three course meal, wine and dancing until late. Booking forms can be requested by calling Lucy Dye at GBGB on 020 7421 3770 and book tickets by telephone.
