Nominate your Kennelhand of the Year 2013

At the Greyhound of the Year Awards on Sunday 26th January, human categories celebrated on the night include recognition of 2013’s Kennelhand of the Year. The winner(s) receive a trophy, £500 and accommodation at the Hilton. GBGB relies on owners, trainers and friends to nominate the person(s) they deem worthy of national recognition.

Event Organiser Lucy Dye said: “The bulk of nominations usually come from owners and trainers.  Of course anyone in the industry can forward their suggestion to us and we need a few lines explanation as to why, in their opinion the person is worthy of winning. Kennelhands are some of the hardest workers in the industry, with the long hours and late nights. But where there is exceptional dedication, then we want to hear about it.  Nominations must be received by Friday 10th January.”

A panel comprising a number of industry experts will meet to discuss the relative merits of each nomination.  Email awards@gbgb.org.uk with the subject line; ‘Kennelhand of the Year 2013’ or post nominations to GBGB, Procter House, 1 Procter Street, London, WC1V 6DW.  Please include your own contact details.
