Maureen Banks The Cash For Wallis

Mark Wallis had won practically everything in the sport; Derbies, St Leger's, Trainers Championships, and a host of other competition wins but the Oaks had been missing. That all changed tonight in spectacular fashion when he sent out Cashen Maureen to victory in this years competition.

You could feel the atmosphere and the excitement levels rising in the build up to the big race. Lids opened and you could hear the roar from Cashen Maureen's supporters because she blasted out recording the fastest sectional of the night of 4.30. Anyone who backed her ante-post or at 4/6 on the night quickly knew they would be collecting. Bromwich Sue 14/1 ran the race of her life to be Maureen's closest challenger but she still had 3.25L to make up at the line, Jaytee Osprey 5/1 ran on well to grab third a further 0.75L back in the fastest time of the night 27.99 on a slow track.

Just how good is Cashen Maureen? The biggest compliment I can give her is she looks and races like a dog. I felt like I'd gone back in time and was watching Pearls Girl the 1993 winner. She was amazing and interestingly ran a cracker in the Derby, history tells us bitches in general don't win Derbies but I've a feeling Cashen Maureen could buck that trend. She's been given a 66/1 quote for next years Derby and even though no bitch has even made the final since 2007 I think this girl could arrive at Wimbledon with a live chance of taking the £250,000 to-the-winner prize.

'That was fantastic, Cashen Maureen has been absolutely awesome throughout the competition, I'm so pleased. She is a huge bitch and won't look out of place in the Derby, she will be trained for that competition'.
