RPGTV Henlow Derby - Henlow 460m (£10,000)

Last night the three semi-finals of the 2015 RPGTV Henlow Derby took place with 18 greyhounds chasing one of the six slots for the £10,000 decider on Sunday 25th October.

Kevin Hutton had a huge smile on his face when Forest Sara got up close home to win the first semi-final by a Short-Head over Express Master in 27.46.

The very next semi-final the Hutton camp would hit a disaster when El Lema sadly went lame out in front and in a cruel twist of fate he brought down down his kennel companion Face The Blade. Loughteen Eoin missed the trouble and seized his opportunity to win by 3.25L with Making Paper putting in sterling late work to grab second in 27.44.

Fire Height Tosh had tongues wagging in the heats and he was at again here taking the third semi-final in style. He put in a powerful performance to win by 3L over Charity Buster in the fastest time of the night 27.39.

Final Sunday 25th October (RPGTV)

Making Paper the 2015 Derby finalist was superb in the heats but suffered defeat to Loughteen Eoin in the semi-finals. The latter is on the end of a tough trap-draw out in trap-four but is a greyhound arguably underestimated. Fire Height Tosh has not put a paw wrong in this competition and heads to the final brimming with confidence. The McNair's landed this competition in 2013 with Shaneboy Spencer and they will be hoping to add another title here. Kevin Hutton will be delighted with trap-six for Forest Sara the sole wide seed looks set for a great run and must enter the reckoning. Charity Buster and Express Master both have a touch of class and it would be no surprise to see either of those strike gold.

It is set to be a race to savour and one that really could see any of these six fantastic greyhounds on the podium collecting the magnificent trophy and the £10,000 to-the-winner prize.

Alan Ward on Loughteen Eoin

"He stays this trip strong and he's ran very well in this competition. We are really enjoying it and it is great to be in the final. We made the Arc final and drew trap-four and now we have drawn trap-four again. The draw is not ideal but he is running very well and he is in there with a chance. I am retired now and we have 22 acres here with our own all weather gallop. We only have six racing dogs and are in the sport for pure enjoyment. We don't over race our dogs and I think Eoin has now had sixteen races with us and made two category one finals.

I don't feel the dog gets the credit he deserves I really don't. He is a lovely dog and I just hope he runs well in the final. We are really looking forward to it and it will be a great night whatever happens. I have never won a category one final before and been involved in the sport since 1969 so if he was to do it then that would be fantastic. He is a bit tired this morning but he will recover and be given a free gallop on Thursday".
