You Never Listen stormed to victory in the Coral Golden Sprint final to become the first bitch since Shes Our Star in 2004 to lift this famous trophy. This prestigious event was wrapped up in a matter of strides and there was little doubt who was going to be crowned champion and bank that fantastic £10,000 winners prize.

It was a quality final packed with champions and greyhounds of huge potential but You Never Listen rocketed out to record her fastest ever sectional of 3.69 which ensured she would lead around the corner. The only greyhound who even came close was the Romford Puppy Champion Laughing Gravy but on the night even he was to be no match for the Jim Reynolds trained star. It was a scintillating display of pace and power which saw her run away with this great prize by 4.25L in a breathtaking 23.61.

Runner-up Laughing Gravy can go on and have a fantastic year for David Pruhs and it would be no surprise to see him go well in the Derby. Lenson Tiggy, Baliff Hubert and Leamaneigh Turbo lost nothing in defeat and they will bounce back for sure.

Special mention must go to Maxine Locke and her greyhound Lough Messi. He's been a great champion and although he could only manage sixth in the final this was a very brave bid to defend his title. He came close to making history but he should be saluted for making the final and coming close to emulating the great Kinda Magic who is still the only greyhound in history to defend this crown. Will any greyhound ever repeat that feat? It's over to You Never Listen now to give it a go in 2016 but I'm sure a Derby campaign will now become her main target.

Jim Reynolds On You Never Listen

'Tonight it was imperative she came away and she flew out, to record 3.69 out of these new boxes is a very special sectional. We are so proud of her and this victory means so much to everyone involved. It was a fantastic run recording 23.61 but this was a great final and it was always going to take something very special to win it. Next stop will definitely be the Derby, I've no worries about her staying 480m and with her early-pace if she keeps coming away you just never know.

I'd like to thank Coral and everyone at Romford for their fantastic sponsorship'.
