THE PIN POINT HEALTH AND HOMECARE THREE STEPS TO VICTORY - SHEFFIELD (£10,000)

Dream, Viking and Glory In Mouthwatering Clash

The draw for the semi-finals has thrown up a headline grabbing clash in the first of them with Roxholme Dream taking on Viking Jack and the highly rated Elwick Glory. Something must give because only two can qualify. Any mistake now will surely see any of them heading for the exit door, so much will depend on that all important run to the corner. Which two will be heading to the £10,000 to-the-winner final?

Dinzeo and Coolavanny Fish flashed over the line together and the judge could not separate them in round-one. The draw has ensured we get to see them go head-to-head once more this time over an extra twenty metres. Both will have to be on their 'A Game' because Jimmy Nailed On and Farneys Cookie where also impressive first-round winners.

We will also get to savour a re-match between Russanda Brax and Geelo Midnight, just a neck separated them over 480m. Lowgate Jasper rightly grabbed the plaudits after an impressive first-round victory and you can never discount a greyhound like Blonde Razor it's going to be another cracking race.

It's set to be ultra-exciting - it's the semi-finals of the Pin Point Health and Homecare Three Steps To Victory - Who will take the second step in their stride?

Colin Redden On Elwick Glory

'I'd have liked to avoided Roxholme Dream she's a fantastic bitch I've the highest respect for her but there are no easy Category One semi-finals. Viking Jack is capable of doing something special and the rest are also fantastic greyhounds. It's not going to be easy but I'm relieved to get past round-one, I fell at this first hurdle twice with Anfi Gem. The 500m will suit her better but it's still not her optimum distance but I'm hopeful of a good run. I don't like to be bullish it can make you look silly. It's a hot race but if she does everything right then she's got a chance. I'm just embarking on an open-race campaign with her and that was her first run at Sheffield for a while, she is capable of improving on that but let's be honest she probably needs to do exactly that. It's a fantastic competition and I'd like to thank the sponsors for everything they have done'.
