Seven time Derby winning trainer Charlie Lister OBE returns to Wimbledon on Saturday to trial three of his prospects; Iceman Frank, Jordans Brianna and Cribb, in the second set of William Hill Derby Trial Stakes.

Iceman Frank has won four of his seven races and recorded a swift 28.76 in a solo trial last week. He faces Seamus Cahill’s lightly raced Elevenerife, who won only the second race of his career in a Maiden at Wimbledon last week. Liz McNair’s Coolemoore Joe and Tony Taylor’s Notting Hill Lil complete the field for the first Trial Stakes at 7.51.

Jordans Brianna reached the quarter finals of last year’s Derby, where he was brought down at the first bend. He won two of his heats and recorded a smart 28.44 when beaten by Mind The Net in the third round and the 2014 Laurels winner is likely to go off a short priced favourite for the third Trial Stakes at 9.42.

Cribb was previously known as Glenpadden Chief and under that name won four of his seven races. He faces quality opposition in the last Trial Stakes at 10.14, including Jaytee Seville who was disqualified when winning at Romford last year, and competed over hurdles in the Springbok at Wimbledon in February.

Last week’s Trial Stakes saw a double for trainer Hayley Keightly with On Alert and Roxholme Dream. However, it has since been reported that the latter, who was 2014 Bitch of the Year and St Leger winner, has gone into season and will miss the Derby. Keightly was denied a treble by Irish raider Graham Holland’s Sidarian Blaze who recorded a very impressive 28.15, which has propelled him to the head of the ante post market.
