Calne Racing Arc - Swindon 480m (£8,000)

Final: Wednesday 29th April (Sky Sports)

Will It Be All White On The Night?

Wednesday night will see the 29th running of the Arc and we have a fantastic final to savour. The likely favourite is Millwards Whitey who was very impressive turning fifth in his semi-final but still came out on top. There is a feeling he's just not trapped yet at Swindon in his best fashion, if he chooses the final to do that he must have a big say in proceedings. He is the only unbeaten greyhound heading to the final and Dean Childs will be hoping he can deliver him his first Arc title.

Last year it was won by British Bred greyhound King Dec but he relinquished his crown at the semi-final stage this year. Talking of British Breeding do you remember the 1994 winner Westmead Chick? She was crowned British Bred greyhound of the year and went on to have a glittering career in the breeding paddocks. Her influence can be found in many greyhounds today but can a British Bred win this final? Well they have one chance thanks to Calco Flyer who is flying the flag for all things British! He's taken his connections on a great journey and he looks to be improving all the time. It could be a big year for this greyhound who I'm sure we have not seen the best of yet.

Evanta Evita grabbed the headlines in the semi-finals but she will need a smash break from trap-six if she is going to land this major prize. Mark Wallis knows what it takes to win an Arc having won this great race back-to-back in 2008 and 2009 with Centaur Decree and Corrig Vieri respectively.

If you cast your minds back to round-one Kippers Usain absolutely bolted out and his connections will be praying he can do that again here.

None will be finishing the 480m course faster than Bubbly Gold and Paul Young will be hoping he can turn in a handy position. Paul Young won this great race in 2004 with Airtech Rapid, can he end his eleven year wait with Bubbly Gold? Airtech Rapid was 7/1 when he was victorious, you guessed it Bubbly Gold is currently a 7/1 shot.

Loughteen Eoin is here on merit and done Alan Ward extremely proud, he seems to be able to do it from the front or come from behind.

It's a wide open final but what a race this is going to be. Who do you think will be crowned the 2015 Calne Racing Arc champion?

Flyer Is Best Of British

Calco Flyer is already a winner and will be given a cheque for £500 from the British Breeders Forum. He's earned that for being the British Bred greyhound to have gone the furthest in this category one competition. This is a fantastic gesture from the forum and is on offer in all category one competitions.

Mark Wallis On Evanta Evita and Calco Flyer

'In my honest opinion Swindon suits railers and we have ended up with six railers in the final. Evanta Evita has drawn trap-six and we are now reliant on a very fast break, she is capable and last year won the Summer Cup at Monmore, worth £5,000 to-the-winner, out of trap-five, she's never run out of six though. I have to say she is really well and, although I'd have preferred her in trap-one or two, we are optimistic.

Calco Flyer is a good little dog improving all the time, he is British Bred so that's good to have already banked £500. His sire is Blonde Snapper who we won the Derby with and it's great to see his offspring doing so well. He possesses good all round pace but in any final the best place to be is out in front but like Evanta Evita we think he can go well and is in with a chance.

Both must come away but I'm delighted to have two in the final and I'd like to thank Swindon the tracks been running so well and we must not forget the sponsor it's great of Calne Racing to back this event'.
