The 69th British Bred Produce Stakes - Swindon 480m (£15,000)

The 69th British Bred Produce Stakes will live long in the memories of greyhound fans around the country. From the first heat to this incredible final it's been excitement all the way. Fabulous Expert was crowned the champion and banked the £15,000 first prize for her owner/breeder/trainer David Firmager lets find out how she did it;

The lids flew open and Klockwork Khaos was quickest into stride along with Fabulous Expert who was flying up the inside. It was a battle to see which of these quality trackers would turn the corner in front. It was Fabulous Expert who railed brilliantly to come out in front with Klockwork Khaos in second. Romany Rouge, What Fun Jamie, Mossvale Ace and Romeo Storm all suffered first-bend trouble to varying degrees and it would take a huge effort for any of those to win from that position. Fabulous Expert stepped on the gas and flew down the back with Klockwork Khaos trying with his all his might to stay with her and Romany Rouge started to hit top gear and give chase. None could get to Fabulous Expert though who crossed the line to huge cheers 2L to the good over the fast finishing Romany Rouge in second with the brave Klockwork Khaos a further 2.25L back in third in a super time of 28.64 -10.

This is an amazing achievement from Fabulous Expert; many bitches have tried to win this competition and fallen short. You have to cast your minds back to 1997 when Staplers Jade was crowned the champion but since then it's been all about the dogs. This was David Firmager's third title which is another incredible achievement. It's a family affair with David and his wife Nicola breeding, rearing, schooling and then training these greyhounds. I caught up with David the morning after to get his thoughts on this 'Fabulous' bitch.

David Firmager On Fabulous Expert

'Nicola and I are both absolutely delighted about this bitch Fabulous Expert. She is a real star who can win from the front or from behind. It is always a big achievement when a bitch beats dogs in a final and she was the youngest in the race as well!

Her sister Fabulous Milan was desperate not to make the final but also won last night and looks to also have great potential.

They're granddaughters of our old favourite Fast March who without her none of our success would have been possible'.
