2016 Kennelhand of the Year Award - nominations wanted

At the Greyhound of the Year Awards human categories celebrated on the night include recognition of 2016’s Kennelhand of the Year, sponsored by BAGS. The winner will receive a trophy, £500 and accommodation at the Montcalm at The Brewery Hotel, London. GBGB relies on owners, trainers and friends to nominate the person that they deem worthy of national recognition. GBGB chief executive Barry Faulkner said:

“Anyone in the industry can forward their suggestions to us, not only owners and trainers, but we will need a few lines explanation as to why, in your opinion, the person nominated is worthy of winning this much sought after award. Kennelhands are the backbone of our industry, putting in hard work and long hours, showing exceptional dedication to the sport they love and we want to hear about who you think should be recognised for their contribution to greyhound racing.” Nominations must be received by Wednesday 4th January 2017.”

A panel comprising a number of industry experts will meet to discuss the relative merits of each nomination. Email awards@gbgb.org.uk with the subject line;

‘Kennelhand of the Year 2016. Please don’t forget to include your own contact details.
