GBGB rolls out competition automated trap draw enhancement
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is pleased to announce the ability to draw competition rounds via the automated trap draw system.
Following on from the successful roll out of the single-race automated trap draw system back in March of this year, this latest enhancement introduces multiple rounds, guarding, and comprehensive validation for race categories.
The procedure has undergone thorough testing and is ready for a phased rollout, starting with selected tracks across the country.
Racing Offices will only be able to draw each race once, with redraws managed by the GBGB Registry department, while draws completed in this way will include a notice in the race card, ensuring transparency.
Mark Moisley, GBGB’s Commercial Director, said:
“This is another example of the steps being taken as part of our digital transformation to increase efficiency for tracks in all aspects of the racing office system. It speeds up the operation, ensures full transparency and is the result of further collaboration with Racing and Sports who we wish to thank for their efforts.”
