MONMORE will host the first Gone To The Dogs – Live! broadcast of 2025 on Saturday, February 22, the night of the Ladbrokes Winter Derby Final.

It follows broadcasts last year at Yarmouth for the Click Competitions 78th East Anglian Derby, Romford for the Premier Greyhound Racing Champion Stakes, Nottingham for the Premier Greyhound Racing Eclipse and Towcester for its Christmas Bonanza meeting.

The Ladbrokes Winter Derby offers a first prize of £10,000 and, for 36 greyhounds, will be run over 480m with entries closing on February 5. The heats are on Saturday, February 8, the semi-finals on Saturday, February 15, and a gala card for finals night a week later – in the middle of a busy period for the track.

“We’ve got the Premier Greyhound Racing Puppy Derby starting a week after the Winter Derby, so it’s a busy but brilliant period for us,” said Paul Mason, Monmore’s stadium manager, who is looking forward to welcoming the Gone To The Dogs – Live! team.

“I saw the shows last year and just love the way the spotlight is very much on the greyhounds and their connections. It’s about making the dogs the stars and these programmes really do that.

“We had it with the Sky shows and then RPGTV – and well done to all behind this new initiative.

“We’re also excited to showcase Monmore! We had a very good 2024 and are looking to build on that in 2025 – and our Saturday night open-race cards are particularly popular.”

Regular Gone To The Dogs podcast presenter Dani Jackson again hosts the show on February 22.
