Greyhound stadia across the country thank NHS workers with special promotions throughout March

Greyhound racecourses up and down the country are inviting NHS workers and volunteers to enjoy a trip to the races, as part of a special promotion throughout March.

To recognise the incredible work of NHS staff and give them the opportunity to watch these athletic dogs do what they do best, stadia belonging to the Racecourse Promoters Association (RCPA) are offering a range of special promotions. Participating stadiums include Crayford, Harlow, Brighton and Hove, Owlerton, Romford, Monmore Green, Nottingham, Peterborough and Yarmouth.

Anyone employed by the NHS including doctors, nurses, paramedics, dentists and pharmacists will be able to take advantage of these offers. Promotions differ between stadia but include anything from free drinks and meals to free general entry and bespoke discounted packages for healthcare staff, as well as their families and friends.

Speaking about the offer at Romford Greyhound Stadium, General Manager Karen McMillan  said:

“We are really looking forward to NHS month here at Romford. Alongside the other Ladbrokes Coral tracks, we will be offering free admission for all NHS workers and volunteers and their guest, plus a free racecard, drink and a Jackpot bet each. We are really pleased to have the opportunity to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our local NHS staff.”

David Evans, General Manager at Nottingham Greyhound Stadium said:

“We are delighted to be offering a special discounted package with entrance, a racecard, a drink, burger and chips and a re-admission voucher here at Nottingham throughout March for NHS staff. It’s great that a number of tracks are coming together to run this promotion which is our opportunity to reward people locally who do so much to keep our communities thriving.”

Simon Franklin, Director at Yarmouth Stadium, said:

“At Yarmouth, we’re offering free admission to NHS staff and a guest and are looking forward to welcoming lots of new and existing spectators through our doors. This is a great chance for anyone who hasn’t come racing before to experience for themselves how fun and exciting it is and see how much our greyhounds love to race.”
