In today’s Racing Post, GBGB’s Greyhound Retirement Scheme (GRS) co-ordinator Paula Beniston discusses the positive impact the GRS has had since its launch in September last year.

Paula talks about reaching the significant milestone of now having over 1,000 greyhounds go through the scheme, the vast majority of which are now settled in their forever homes thanks to the fantastic work of GBGB’s approved homing centres.

In total, more than 4,000 greyhounds are now signed up to the GRS – and over 1,000 of these have been signed up voluntarily by owners whose dogs were registered with GBGB prior to 1 September 2020 and, as such, were not required to sign up to the scheme.
