GBGB is pleased to announce that the MWD Partnership of Mark Wallis and Mike Davis has been named Coral Owner of the Year 2025.

The Owner of the Year is awarded to the owner or owners whose greyhounds have collected the highest number of points based on a scale recognising the number of the competition finals reached – and won – and the prestige of those competitions.

The MWD Partnership’s team of greyhounds, trained at the Imperial Kennels of 15-time champion trainer Mark Wallis, amassed a huge 2084.5 points to retain the title, finishing ahead of leading British breeder David Firmager (1068 points) and the JR Racing Syndicate (666) who enter the top three for the first time following a hugely successful 2025.

Nine-time winners the KSS Syndicate (306) and Kevin Boothby (240) make up the remainder of the top five positions.

Proper Heiress, as a five-time Category One winner in 2025, top scored for the MWD Partnership. The September 2022 son of Droopys Sydney and Powerful Mush won the ARC Kent Plate, Ladbrokes Winter Derby, Coral Sussex Cup, Premier Greyhound Racing Eclipse and the Coral Olympic with the Time Juvenile Championship also included on his impressive CV.

Mark Moisley, Commercial Director for GBGB, said: “Congratulations to the MWD Partnership on winning Owner of the Year for a second year in a row. With more than 15 Category One wins and many other accolades, it will certainly be a year to remember for them.

“Every racing greyhound owner makes a vital contribution to our sport, ensuring that our greyhounds are well provided for so they can reach their full potential on the track. I look forward to seeing many of our owners at the Awards ceremony on 5th March so we can celebrate all their achievements from 2025.”\
