Nominations open for Kennelhand of the Year Award 2025
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) has opened nominations for the Kennelhand of the Year Award. The Award, which will be presented at GBGB’s Greyhound of the Year Awards 2025, honours one exceptional kennelhand for their commitment to caring for their greyhounds.
As previously announced, this year’s awards will be held at the picturesque Easthampstead Park in the countryside near Wokingham.
The 2025 winner will be following in the footsteps of ‘shining light in the industry’ Kaitlyn Linley who took home the award 12 months ago, thanks to her dedication to the breed both on and off the track. Since winning the award Katilyn has gone from strength to strength continuing to be an integral part of both Sunderland Stadium and the Linley kennels alongside raising a young family.
Nominations are now open and anyone involved in the industry can nominate a kennelhand who they believe has shown tremendous dedication and who always goes that extra mile. Nominations should be emailed to awards@gbgb.org.uk with the subject line ‘Kennelhand of the Year 2025′ by Friday 16th January. Nominations should include the nominee’s name and a detailed description of why they are a deserving recipient as well as the contact details of the person submitting the nomination.
The winner will receive £500, two tickets to the Awards Ceremony and accommodation as well as the prestigious Kennelhand of the Year trophy.
Tickets for the event are due to go on sale shortly.
