NOTICE: Travelling to Ireland – Racing under the Special Authority
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Irish Authorities currently require anyone coming into Ireland, apart from Northern Ireland, to self-isolate for 14 days. Passengers arriving to Ireland from overseas are obliged to complete a mandatory Public Health Passenger Locator Form and to submit it to the relevant authority at their port of entry.
As trainers will know, the requirement of a Special Authority is that the UK trainer or his/her kennelhand(s) presents the greyhound for trialling/racing in Ireland. However, under the current legal requirements regarding travel, it will not now be possible for trainers/kennelhands to present greyhounds for trials. This unfortunately means that the requirements of Special Authorities cannot be fulfilled.
As soon as we are aware of the restriction being lifted or eased we will inform you.
