Racing Operations Executive Vacancy

We are currently looking for a Racing Operations Executive to join the GBGB.

This is a real mixed bag of a role and will involve working closely with both the Racing Committee and the Open Race Planning Committee.

Duties will include being Secretary to the Racing Committee, organising meetings, agendas, papers, minute taking and liaison with tracks.  You will also get involved in projects generated from these meetings.

Working with the Open Racing Planning Committee will include implementing the Open Race planning process (as per Open Race planning guidelines), seeking approval on races submitted during the year, feeding back to tracks and assisting with the Derby process.

The successful candidate will also have responsibility for producing the fortnightly publication of the GBGB Calendar.  This will include approving all opens submitted each fortnight, informing tracks of deadlines, managing any issues (late races, errors with races etc) and proofreading.

Other duties will include providing support to the Registry team, assisting with the annual GBGB Greyhound of the Year Awards event, assisting in the development and ongoing management of the GBGB website (including uploading of content and development of new areas and features), liaising and supporting the Owner Practitioner Director and administration of the GBGB Owners’ Portal.

We are looking for somebody with extensive greyhound racing knowledge, excellent communication (both oral and written) and social media skills.  You will also be an exceptional team player and possess first class planning and organisation skills.

This is a full-time position and will be flexibly based.  Salary being offered is circa £40,000.00 per annum.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please email a copy of your CV, together with a covering letter detailing how you fit the criteria to Zoë Brown, HR Manager, to zoe.brown@gbgb.org.uk
