On Sunday 14 February, GBGB will host its annual Greyhound of the Year Awards.

This year, the stars of 2020 will be recognised at a unique and exceptional virtual awards ceremony hosted by Darrell Williams and Jonathan Hobbs.

The evening is set to celebrate 2020’s leading canine athletes across each of the different racing disciplines, together with the best of British breeding. The awards will also be an opportunity to honour the incredible people behind our sport including owners, trainers and kennelhands.

The online event is free to attend and registration is now open via this link.

The full list of nominees for the eight open race category awards can be found here.

Mark Bird, GBGB Managing Director, said:

“The evening promises to be a wonderful celebration of the stars of 2020 and a chance to re-live the year’s stand-out performances. Importantly, it is also an opportunity for us to thank everyone within our sport who goes above and beyond on a daily basis to care for our canine athletes.

“Whilst we can’t all be together physically, I hope as many people from across the sport can join us virtually so we can celebrate the achievements of our entire greyhound community.”
