Research and Data Analyst Vacancy
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is the governing body for licensed greyhound racing in Great Britain. As well as regulating all racecourses and participants in the sport, the GBGB is responsible for safeguarding and overseeing the welfare and care of racing greyhounds, from registration through to retirement.
We are currently seeking a Research and Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Veterinary Surgeon, the primary purpose of this role is to provide analytical support and insight to the GBGB Welfare and Veterinary Standing Committee.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering quantitative and qualitative analysis of data generated through their own work or team projects. They will be expected to undertake end-to-end research and reporting, working collaboratively with colleagues and, on occasion, with external academics.
Candidates must hold, at a minimum, an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and have an excellent understanding of research principles and data collection, interpretation, cleaning, and visualisation. Experience using platforms for data collection, production, and analysis is essential, alongside proficiency in applying appropriate analytical tools and methods to deliver high-quality quantitative and qualitative outputs. Previous experience in predictive modelling would be an advantage.
Applicants must possess strong IT and communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as excellent report-writing abilities.
This is a hybrid role, working from home and the GBGB office as required (1 Knightrider Court, London, EC4V 5BJ). This position may be offered either on a full or part-time pro-rata basis dependent on the candidate.
