To coincide with National Greyhound Week, ARC has launched a superb new video to promote greyhounds as great pets and encourage the homing of retired racers.

The video features several owners talking about their life-changing experiences of welcoming a greyhound into their home. They debunk some of the myths around owning and caring for a greyhound, particularly that they need a lot of exercise as a breed, and highlight that there really is a greyhound out there for everyone, whether you are looking to welcome one into your home as an individual, as a couple or as a larger family.

One owner says of greyhounds:

“They kind of tick all boxes for us, our lifestyle, because they are so low maintenance…we know that they’ll match families so, so well. You just need to find the right greyhound.”

Speaking to the camera, another owner adds:

“Get a greyhound – they are the best animals. They are just so loving and friendly and they’re just awesome. So get a greyhound – or two! Get two greyhounds!”

The final slide of the video is tailored to each of ARC’s tracks – Central Park, Newcastle, Nottingham, Perry Barr and Sunderland – signposting the viewer to the track’s contact information and their associated homing centres.
