This week saw Maxine Locke extend her lead at the top of the Trainer of the Year standings, adding 76 points to move from 802 to 878.  Paul Young strengthened his position in third with a 35-point increase to 721, while Jimmy Fenwick and Tom Heilbron remained fourth and fifth respectively. Rose Draper moved into outright sixth, while Belinda Green climbed from eighth to seventh. The biggest move near the top of the table came from Craig Morris, who rose from 15th to 13th after increasing his total from 215 to 250 points.
