We are currently looking for a Retirement & Welfare Co-Ordinator to join our busy Welfare & Integrity department, based at our Head Office, in London.

The main purpose of this position is to manage the administrative process for retiring greyhounds, including maintenance of the retired greyhound database, registry system and microchipping database. Other duties will include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of welfare related projects, including the Greyhound Commitment.
  • Working closely and developing good working relationships with the Greyhound Trust and other homing organisations.
  • Providing secretarial and administrative duties for Committees.
  • Dealing with welfare enquiries.
  • Providing administrative support to other departments.
  • Acting as a GBGB representative at industry events.

 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, empathic, flexible team player with excellent interpersonal and planning and organisational skills. You will also possess excellent communication and IT skills.

Knowledge and/or an interest in greyhound racing is essential. Previous experience of working in greyhound racing and knowledge of animal welfare legislation would be a huge benefit.

SALARY: up to £30k per annum
